POTPOURRI BOX: The plans for this potpourri box were from the "BOXMASTERS SERIES", (Jointech Clincher Cabinetmakers System). I modified the splines to a dovetail spline. Sides are oak, Splines are purple heart and the top is Carpathian Elm Burl veneer.

ROLL AROUND CLAMP CART: Plans are from Shop NotesVol 8, Issue 46. Made some changes to accomodate my collection of clamps.

My Fathers Flag Case: My father, S/Msgt Delbert Todd Jr., served in the military for 22 years and retired in 1962. He served in England & France in WW II. When he passed away on February, 2001 we had a military funeral and I was presented with the flag. I built this oak display case for his military memorablia.

MAHOGANY BLANKET CHEST: Built two of these chests for family members. The bottom is aromatic cedar. The joinery on these are simple miter joints reinforced with biscuts. The carcass is 4/4 and the lid is 6/4 stock.

A fellow co-worker and Police Officer was killed on duty in an automobile accident in Miami-Dade County. His family asked me to build a chest to store his Police "stuff" for his children to have when they get older. The wood is mahogany and the carcass is lined with aromatic red cedar . The sides are joined with half blind dovetails. Used the Leigh jig for the dovetails and the Somerfield Raised Panel set for the lid.

BEANIE BABIES BIPLANE: Have built many of these as they are fun and make great gifts for the new baby in the nursery. Plans are from the October 199 Woodworkers Journal.

OAK VANITY: Had to replace a bathroom vanity in our old home in Miami, Florida. Decided to make my own. Second time I used the Sommerfeld Raised Panel Set.

FRAMING NAIL GUN CASE: A friend, (we both retired from the same Police Department), needed a strong case for his new framing nail gun. He provided me with the inside measurments and this photo is the result. I had the laser engraving done at a local sign shop.

Gifts for my Grandaughter & Grandsons. She needed a step stool to climb into her bed by herself. Of course every little girl needs a cradle for her doll.
The boxes are for my grandsons and I had their names laser-etched onto the lids. This is my favorite lid, you just press down on either end to open.

CHURCH BOX

My Pastor requested that I build two wood boxes for the church sanctuary for persons to place Decision or Communication Cards. The color scheme matches the church pews.

BOA BAND SAW BOX: Made this jewelry box with a band saw. The wood is Imbruia also known as Brazilan Walnut. This took first prize at a Ocala Florida Woodworking Club box competition on 12/09/2003. Plans from Lois Keener Ventura's book "Building Beautiful Boxes with your Band Saw".

The bottom picture shows the "flocking" on the inside of the drawers.

Two children's jewelry boxes. A sunday School member provided a photo of a discontinued jewelry box and asked me to build one for her niece. I asked an engineer friend, Ray Girard, to draw up some plans for me on his CAD program. He did an excellent job and here are the results.
SpaltedGiftBoxes.jpg
I built these two boxes for my two Firefighter sons. The wood is Spalted Hickory and the finish was "Bartley Gelcoat, Satin"
